Crowes 2022
I was pleasantly surprised, Chris Robinson brought a ton of energy and emotion. The set backdrop was cool, Rich was Rich. Ladies were great. BUT I was not totally into this Shake Your Money Maker tour. It seemed too commercial, too rehearsed, and not the Crowes I loved over the years. Disappointing, except the sound. It's not a huge venue, but guitar riffs were really hard to pick up. At times you could not hear Chris over just the raw noise. If it wasn't for the big screens on sides of the stage, it would have been that much worse. I don't know if that's the venue, the sound guys, or a band choice just to be real loud, but I wish I could have heard more of all the intricacies of their songs. Then again, maybe it's just my hearing going south after years of loud music. Every show bringing surprises and memories.
